On this page you will find real-time links to a number of useful sources of information about the current Lightning and Barometric Pressure levels, and see images of the current static and pressure activity. The page also includes links to a number of other useful weather related pages which you might also like to check out, and if there are any additional sources of information which you would like to see included here in the future, then please do contact me with your suggestions, or ideas and I will be happy to try and add them to this section if it is possible.     There is a useful site that not only offers a lot of useful data about lightning strikes in Europe, but you can also download a very useful freeware copy of a programme called "Lightning Viewer 1.10", and also a .kmz file from there, which will allow you to view lightning activity anytime from your own PC, or even add lightning strike locations to your copy of the Google Earth programme.

  • Another excellent site for weather maps (a couple of good examples can be found on this page) is the Meteorologica site, which can be reached from the link below - do give this one a visit.

  • A useful UK based weather forecasting service, which allows the user to subscribe to a daily bulletin, can be found at the "Isle of Wight Weather Station" site, which can be reached from the link below - a very useful site for UK listeners.

  • Isle of Wight Weather Station:

  • This useful site shows sferic strikes between 3 and 30 kHz throughout the world, very useful for LF and VLF enthusiasts!

  • World Wide Lightning Location Network:

  • This useful site shows sferic strikes in Brazil, and is very useful for our South American members!

  • Brazilian Lightning Chart:

  • This site gives useful information about the weather throughout Europe.

  • European Storm Forecast Experiment:

  • This useful little plug-in for Mozilla Firefox users gives you local or national weather by clicking on an icon in your status bar, a very useful add-on.

  • UK Met Office "Weather Gadget" for Mozilla Firefox:

  • This useful weather site is mainly aimed at the Channel Islands, but there are some very useful data sources on there.
