THE BEACONWORLD AUDIO GALLERY

This new section now allows all of the various types of beacon recordings that have been made from many of the different types of radiobeacons that I've heard to be accessed from one single page. Hopefully this will now make it much easier to navigate through these, and allow me to add a much larger number of them than ever before. All the recordings have now been split up to reflect the various regions of the world, and this will allow visitors to go straight to the appropriate section right away, and without having to search around to find the ones that you want. This new section will be permanently under development, and new recordings will be made as and when I hear them. Some of the recordings were made on my old SPM-3 selective level meter, which had a very squeaky pitch of around 1500 Hz, but more recent recordings will generally have a more listenable pitch of either 500 or 600 Hz (VHF Recordings are 800 Hz pitch due to the fixed pitch of the receiver used for these!). The SPM-3 recordings will be replaced with lower pitch recordings as and when I find suitable replacements for them.

If you have any Beacon recording collections of your own that you would like to have linked to this page, or even your own recordings that you would like to be included here, then please do contact me with the details, and I would be very glad to help. I can be contacted at the following address:
